Perfect for confident beginners and beyond, this series will guide you step-by-step through the process of creating your own custom rug, from preparing your strips to stitching and shaping your final piece. Whether you choose a coordinating jelly roll or cut your own fabrics, you’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind rug and skills you can use again and again.
Materials needed:
A jelly roll (at least 20 strips) or 2½” strips cut from 10 coordinating fabrics (approx. ¼ yard each), coordinating thread, and batting strips (link)

April 9th: Tote Bag-2 pieces of ½ yard fabric-coordinating prints and 1 ½ yards of coordinating belting
April 16: Zipper Pouch-2 pieces of ½ yard fabric-coordinating prints or 2 fat quarters, 9 inch zipper to coordinate with the fabric
April 23: Apron-1 ¼ yard of cotton or linen/cotton blend

Get creative with clay in this fun, hands-on handbuilding class! Students will learn basic techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab building while choosing their own project to create. Options may include items like a garlic grater dish, plant wall pocket, travel mug, or a design of your own. Perfect for beginners, this class encourages creativity while building confidence and foundational clay skills.
Bring your projects and come sew with us! Sewcial Club is a relaxed open-studio time where you can use our sewing machines, cutting tools, and irons while working on your projects. There’s no structured lesson, just a supportive space to make progress, troubleshoot small issues, and enjoy sewing with other makers.
Who it’s for:
Adults and teens (ages 12+) who can operate a sewing machine independently.
What to bring:
Your project materials, patterns, and any notions you need. (We have basic white thread and bobbins.)
We provide:
Sewing machines, cutting mats, irons, basic tools, and plenty of creative company.
Perfect for unfinished projects, quiet sewing time, or simply finding a community that loves to stitch!
**Step-Up students must register in advance by phone or in person. Participants without a scheduled time slot will not be able to join.**
Learn how to throw pottery on the wheel in a friendly, hands-on studio setting. This class teaches the fundamentals of working with clay on the wheel, including preparing clay, centering, forming simple shapes (like bowls and cups), trimming, glazing, and understanding how pieces are fired in the kiln. Everything is explained step-by-step so beginners feel confident and supported.
Students will learn and practice:
• How to center and shape clay using proper hand placement
• How form, balance, and proportion affect functional pottery
• The stages of clay (plastic, leather-hard, bone-dry, bisque, glaze)
• Safe and respectful use of tools, materials, and studio space
Class Format:
• Beginner level, no prior experience needed
• Small class size (maximum 3 students) for plenty of guidance
• 2-hour instructional sessions
• All tools, clay, glazes, and 2 kiln firings included
Outcome:
Each student will complete one or more small wheel-thrown pieces that will be fired and ready to be glazed at a later date. Open to learners 14 and up and great for anyone who wants to explore ceramics in a relaxed, creative space.
