Youth Pottery Wheel Class (Ages 8–13)

Let your child experience the magic of the pottery wheel! In this hands-on beginner class, students will learn the basics of wheel throwing and create their own pottery pieces from clay.

Each student will receive 2 pounds of clay to work with while learning how to center, shape, and form their own creations on the pottery wheel.

To give every student plenty of guidance and time on the wheel, each class is limited to only 2 students, making spots extremely limited.

How the Process Works

  1. During the class, students will create their pottery pieces on the wheel.

  2. The pieces will dry for 1–2 weeks at the studio.

  3. We will fire the pottery in the kiln for the first time.

  4. Students can return on their own time to glaze their pieces.

  5. The pottery will be fired a second time.

  6. Once finished, students can come back and pick up their completed work.

This class is perfect for kids who want to try pottery for the first time and experience the full process of creating ceramic art from start to finish.
